Flight of the Black Lotus
36” x 48” / 90cm x 120cm in Oil
This artwork is inspired in my thoughts, at a time not too long ago. My daughter whenever she danced took flight in her dance and in her heart she felt her most joy. The stone in the background represents life for some, hard and rough as we scribe our passions upon it, our disappointments, and our Triumphs. The Lotus lies silent in darkness, in the shadows waiting to be inspired again, to take flight when the lotus flower emerges from the muddy waters once again to illuminate the dark surroundings. The ballet dancer, (Io Prima Ballerina) represents the hard work and dedication with patience and grace to become the Lotus flower in full rapture of all its beauty after lying dormant for so long. Be inspired by your dreams, work hard, and be the best you can be because anything in life worthwhile never comes easy. Go to Contact Page to order your copy.
